A little applesauce in the pan with a handful of feed has her cleaning up her granules in minutes.

We have a horse that is prone to gas colic. Keeping home on Sucralfate has been a game changer. Easy to use, just top dress his feed.

I recently had bloodwork done on my mare before scheduling a surgery unrelated to ulcers. The vet found that her blood protein levels were low at 5.1 g/dL. We weren’t able to get reliable images on ultrasound while looking for signs of hind gut ulcers (or right dorsal colitis) but came to the conclusion that it was likely the culprit from nsaid usage. I ordered both the Abprazole granules and AbSucralfate granules to administer for the next month before her scheduled surgery which was yesterday. The clinic called to let me know that her blood protein level was back to normal at 6.4 g/dL. I was almost a little skeptical of the granules at first but the proof is in the bloodwork. I will continue to send my horse friends to Abler for ulcer treatment and am happy to have more on hand while my mare recovers.

Did the recommended treatment dose (using granules) for one month to a TB gelding who had mild-moderate ulcers via scope. The vet did not think it was necessary to re-scope after treating, but all symptoms went away and he seemed much happier. I waited a few months to review and he still seems content with no ulcer symptoms, so it appears that they were completely resolved. Much cheaper than the alternative options!

When I ordered the Abprazole and it was out of stock Abler sent me the AbPrazole Plus. I was not thinking much of it but within a week my older horse that I was treating for stomach ulcers had amazing changes in his stool as well. (From somewhat soft and not as formed as I would like to perfect). I'm now ordering the stand alone probiotic for my other horses that don't need the omeprazole but have less than perfect poops. Super impressed. I mix mine with a little beet pulp and ground flax and my picky eater eats with no issues.

Its simple. Its Omeprazole. It heals her ulcers and when she returns to work I put her on this. Such a lifesaver, especially the cost. I don't know why anyone would pay all that money for a product that is literally the same thing.

This was easy to feed and dose out for our new mare. The pre measured packets were a great option for a new horse who is not a fan of paste.

I used the Abprazole tablets for my mare as they were the least expensive and I suspected hingut ulcers. Never scoped but she stood parked out quite often, not normal for her breed. She’s an easy keeper, almost too easy. Her barrel always looked so distended and hung so low like she was in foal. 4 weeks later and her belly looks less bloated, and she looks healthier in general. She’s got a shiny winter coat and is no longer cinchy. I didn’t use a balling gun at first but it became too difficult to not use one. I picked one up at the local farm store and had some issues with her shying away the first few days. Then I pulled out the treats. I could administer them out in the pasture without a halter after that. A treat as I greeted her, then twitch her lip by hand and administer them with the balling gun, then a few more treats and extra love after. A little hassle for the first few days hut it was absolutely worth it. If your horse isn’t too fussy, the tabs are a great inexpensive option. I also did expedited shipping and they showed up within a few days!

My gelding finds the granules pretty palatable and didn't hesitate to eat them with a little apple sauce/pellets. So far they seem to be working and will be excited to see the scope results afterwards. Very affordable product that is not cost prohibitive.

I was pretty surprised that my horse was willing to eat the granules with no dressing etc on his food, this medication seems pretty palatable to horses that are not picky. Looking forward to re-scoping to see the results. Overall an affordable product and easy to use!

I absolutely love this stuff. My OTTB was suffering from ulcers this summer, as he was pretty unhappy under saddle (a lot of spooking, antsy at the canter). I wanted to treat him, but he eats around pills and is terrible at taking paste/liquid oral meds. I looked up some options, and saw these granules. At first, I was nervous that they wouldn't work like the big brand ulcer treatments, but to my surprise, he had a major change of disposition about two weeks after we started treatment. (FOr those curious, I used molasses and some horse cookies to give the granules: spread on a thin layer of molasses and sprinkle granules onto treats, then serve!) He is now getting ready for his first dressage shows with a calm, steady attitude, and has gained at least 100 pounds since treatment. I am now in the process of ordering more for my new warmblood, who seems to be having similar symptoms that my TB had, and look forward to being able to share his progress. I 100% recommend trying AbPrazole, both for your bank account and for your horse's gut!

My horse has been on AbPrazole for almost a year now and I plan to keep him on this supplement for the future since it's really healed his hind gut ulcers and enabled him to put weight back on. He looks and acts like himself again!!

These have been so helpful with my young gelding who started to be come very irritable while being groomed or tacked up. He seems much more relaxed and unfazed by the previously mentioned. I definitely recommend for any horses suspected of ulcers.

Affordable ulcer treatment! Works too

My OTTB is very ulcer prone and had severe behavioral problems due to the discomfort. These meds have made him the sweetest most willing horse there is now to the point where my non horsey boy friend is even riding him!

Put a yearling filly on this that we'd just bought and was trailered 16 hours, and then a couple weeks later got a cut that required antibiotics. She was losing weight. After a few days on this product, she started gaining weight and her coat has improved. She's looking great again now.

Anytime I get any potential tummy issues, I get an order of these. They have always worked well over the years with different horses. Great price! The granules can sometimes be a pain to make sure they are all used up! Trying a feed bag next round!

I have purchased Abprazole a few times now for different horses with success in all cases! This is affordable and easy to use. Plus, having more options than a tube helps make it easier to get the horse treated. 10/10

I wish I could add a picture here. 3 months ago, my horse looked like, well CRAP. He was a stressed out mess and was branded as "lazy" and poor attitude. Well, 3 months of consistent use of the AB Plus and he's a new man! We do put a tiny dollop of corn oil on it to make sure it gets consumed.

I heal my horse since one year with Abprazole in syringe. He is much better and my vet recommend to buy Abprazole for his efficiency. The price is affordable and it make an great difference especially when you have to use 1 synringe per day during one month. I was hesitant to buy this stuff for almost a year before I caved….got to me in less than a week (southern US) with the expedited shipping and definitely helped my horse. He was not scoped, so I am not certain he had ulcers, but at the price this was worth it to me to try. Allowed me to fully treat AND wean my very tall OTTB the proper way over 1.5 months without dropping $1300+ on the name brand. Wish I’d taken the chance sooner, 100% recommend this to anyone who is scared like I was to try. I used the big brands on the same horse (never treating fully because of the cost) and Abler’s stuff seemed no different in its effect on him. I used the tubes since I board and wanted to make sure he got his medicine - he was never difficult to catch so it must be flavored decently.

We own a wonderful horse in our equine therapy program who has a propensity to form ulcers. He's low on the herd pecking order, and he also prefers 24/7 turnout, which we can't always do. AbPrazole has enabled us to keep him in the program while keeping him feeling great. The paste worked, but we have volunteers that function as feeders and he had begun to know how to spit out the paste, etc. These tablets have been life saving has he crunches them right up with pill pockets on his grain. Excellent product and outstanding customer service!

I have used Ulcer Guard and Gastro Guard for years at $40 per syringe… it’s great but expensive! AbPrazole is the way to go, at a fraction of the cost!! It’s good stuff.

Although I like the idea of being able to feed the granules on top of grain — I tried this with 6 different horses and not a one would eat this granule form. Not a negative review of the product itself…. But I spent $95 dollars on a bulk pack and NONE of my horses want to eat it,.., and it’s not one you can dissolve in water to shoot in their mouth : ( So… for me this product is NOT a good plan.

I recently purchased an OTTB. He has been doing well overall, but when I moved him home with me, I noticed he started cribbing more frequently from the stress of the move. He also never was a fan of getting groomed, especially near his belly area. Because of his history/breed and new settings, we decided to try treating him for ulcers to see how he did. He has been on the omeprazole paste for about 3 weeks now. He is noticeably cribbing much less and I can finally brush/curry his sides without him protesting. This paste is also very easy to give and seems to be pretty palatable as he takes it with no problem! Also so happy I found this product at this price point as it is much more affordable! Definitely will continue to purchase this product as long as it is needed.

We've been using Abprazole for a few years now and have always seen positive results in our show horses. We buy bulk packs for ease of use (vs. individual sachets which can be annoying!). Its not easy to prevent ulcers, as hard as you try with feed, supplements and keeping tummies always full–so, Abler definitely comes in handy vs. Gastro Guard. The oral paste is also a great alternative to give at horse shows to prevent any new issues from arising.

I found this product a couple of years back and it has been my go to ever since. I love that it is so much more affordable than other options on the market and that I can use these granules with ease and my horse never knows the medicine is coming. She is an anxiety drive OTTB who has a sensitive gut. So when something changes whether it be the weather, location or clinics I throw this in her food to give her tummy the boost that she needs. I have recommended this to friends and people asking for advice on facebook.

Great product, easy to use, great value. Easy to dose instructions. I wet the grain a little and the granules sticks, my horses have not turned their noses up at it.

We're on our 2nd order of this product. Diagnosed with ulcer mid May. My horse is in training out of state, so don't get to see him every day. I visited about 20 days into treatment, and OMG he doesn't look like the same horse. He's putting on weight, work eithic change is drastic (turns out he's not a lazy loafer as he was "branded"), his coat is shinnier and you can tell he just gernally feels more at ease in his entire body. I just reordered and we will keep him on this indefinitely at the prevention dose. Couldn't be more pleased!

Huge fan of the Abprozole syringe tubes. They seem to work well and at a fraction of the cost of brand name omeprazole products.

I have been amazed how AbPrazole has changed my young mare she changed into a a different horse. At 5 yrs old I was the 6th place she had been. She would not let me brush her sides and was so crank she tried to bite me. After a few treatments of AbPrazole she started to let me touch her sides and now she enjoys giving me kisses instead of bites. As someone who is in the human medical field, I definitely experienced sticker shock with the prices of omeprazole for my horse. I heard many great reviews on Abler and considering its basically the same formulation of the brand name in the US but for 1/4th the price, I placed my order within a couple of days of noticing my horse had an acute change in behavior, was dropping weight, and not finishing her hay. Vet came out about 1.5 weeks later and based on my history and his physical agreed it was likely ulcers- I did not opt to scope at this time. She is now almost finished with a whole month treatment and is no longer reactive when I brush her sides and seems to be a lot calmer, along with finishing her hay. While I don't have scope evidence of this working, I can say my own physical exam demonstrates a major change and this is the only product I added during this period of time.

I purchased a horse that was flighty, anxious, girthy, and nervous. I put many miles and many wet saddle blankets on him and he was better but not quite right. He became very attached to the group of horses he was running with. This spring he was back to the same way...nervous, flighty, attached, etc...i felt he could be almost dangerous. My husband said there are too many good horses out there to keep him. I told him I wanted to try one thing--give him the AbPrazole plus and treat for ulcers (no scope). Im telling ya, after a few days you see the difference. He stands at the hitching post calm and relaxed. My husband walked by him the other day as he was standing there and asked if he was drugged. No--he wasn't drugged. We took care of the problem. He still loves "his herd" (5 other horses) he runs with and wants to be with them but when we ride off and cover some miles he is great. My order arrived in 7 days to Michigan USA with the free shipping! I did not expect to receive it so quickly! We are 6 days into treatment and my horse is back to eating his grain. We did not scope but he showed all the classic symptoms of ulcers. Excited to see him progress in wellness as he continues using the product. 5 yr old paint mare who had 6 owners before me was so grumpy all the time. A friend recommended I try treating her for ulcers and see if it helps. I tried AbPrazole Plus and oh my goodness her disposition has changed so much. She allows me to touch her sides with out trying to nip me, I am able to cinch her saddle without her dancing around and trying to bite me and numerous other positive behavioral changes. The granules are super easy to feed and she likes them. Worth every penny!!! I will recommend to all my friends.

I've had great luck using this to buffer my horse's stomach when we are at big weekend barrel races. I will be looking in to the granules for regular use! But the tubes will always have a place in my vet kit!

Having a OTTB with chronic ulcers and then a young QH in training ulcer treatment is clearly a necessity however not always easy on the wallet. So happy to have the option to use abler, cost effective and still giving my horses the care they need.

My horse went off grain and it was less expensive to treat her than scope her for ulcers. This product only cost me a quarter of what UG costs. Was very pleased to find this site. My only complaint is the paste is so stiff that it come out in a lump the shape of the syringe. My horse would just spit it on the ground. It would not stick in her mouth. I was very frustrated that this was not a sticky paste. In order to not waste my entire purchase I had to squirt the paste out and mix it with Karo Syrup, then smoosh it back into the tube to dose my mare. That was the only way to get it into the consistency of paste needed to effectively dose your horse. However the price was terrific, I would not have been able to afford to treat my mare if I hadn't found this site.

I adopted an OTTB and when he arrived it was clear that he wasn't 100%. After consulting with a friend who rescues mustangs, she recommend Abler because of its affordability and effectiveness. I will say, she was not wrong! Within 2-3 days I noticed his general discomfort at being brushed around his stomach disappear and about 10 days in the girthyness was gone as well. He's looking better and acting happier than ever! I also love the ease of use of the granules versus a paste. I don't feel guilty asking my boarding bar to administer this daily because they can just drop it in his feed along with his other supplements. Very impressed with this product.

I ordered and received the AbPrazole bulk pack to start treating my gelding's ulcers. The shipping was timely and it arrived in my mailbox. The recloseable zipper at the top of the pack is really helpful. I ordered the bulk pack. My horse will not willing eat it, even as a treat. I mix it with applesauce and put it in an empty syringe and deposit the the granules and applesauce in his mouth. So far, so good. It is day 10 and I noticed an improvement by the 2-3 day. Not much waste reusing the the syringe and applesauce. I would have not been able to afford the treatment he so badly needed without this product. Thank you.

Recently got a mare off of the track who showed signs of ulcers. This did the trick!

Horse wasn't scoped but had many signs of egus, so I tried abprazole for a month and was so relieved that he got much better, working better under the saddle and better skin.

My horse is extremely picky and this was super easy to get into her. I love that it is so effective and easy to administer.

This has been a life saver for my horse. Such a great and affordable ulcer treatment. I go with the tubes since I wet feed and my horse who hates wormer and bute doesn’t mind this at all. Must taste ok!

Amazing Product

I love these tubes for travel, I use 1/4 a tube the day before we leave for a show, 1/2 a tube the day we travel, the days we are at a a show, and the day we travel home, then 1/4 tube the day after we arrive home to support my sensitive ottb mares stomach. She now doesn’t have set backs from traveling for shows or for clinics or lessons off property and holds her weight and glossy coat and good work attitude.

Good Product

My horse has gut problems every year-the only medication that helps is this product. Plus, it is totally easy to use. Before, the vet gave me human sucralfate- this was faaar to much powder for a horse dose :D

I have a hot and anxious KWPN mare who has been on the blue crystals for 3 years following a full course of ulcer treatment by her vet. The ulcers always return unless she stays on this product for maintenance. This product is an affordable game changer for her. Thank you Abler, you keep my horse happy.

My mare is much less girthy and grouchy. Now we can touch her without her pinning her ears! It's been 2 wks on the treatment dose so far & I noticed an improvement after 1 wk. I got the granules because it's a fight to get paste in her. She eats fine with a bit of soaked alfalfa pellets

Plan ahead if shipping to the US, as shipping takes quite awhile, but this stuff works as it's supposed to, and costs a lot less than what you'll find locally!

I love the option to buy in a bundle as I don't have to calculate how many sachets I need on my own. As for the product, I am super pleased. My horse eats the granules happily and is feeling better after starting her treatment! Happy to finally have an affordable treatment option.

After a week on AbPrazole, the pony started getting a personality and eating better. His sides are getting less reactive but he’s taking more time to unlearn the memory that it will hurt. The other horse I’m treating are much happier and less mouthy but still cribbing. I’ll update when treatment is finished. But very happy so far!

Over the summer I had two geldings that were diagnosed with grade 3 ulcers so I needed to be able to provide the care the needed and quickly! Ships fast and is easy to use. The one draw back is the dosing stopper will jam or stick at times, but it is not hard to work with at all. This a great product!!!

I discovered this product on the Chronicle of the Horse forums because other posters were talking about it as an effective and economical way to provide their show horses with probiotics. Since trying it for a month, I've been feeding this probiotic to my horse for over a year now and it's super easy to feed, to travel with to horse shows and my horse doesn't mind the taste. I will continue to buy this product for my horse!

My now twelve-year-old gelding used to struggle with hindgut ulcers. My barn manager recommended this product to me about a year ago, and after consulting with my vet, I decided to start my horse on this product. He doesn't mind the taste of it and AbSucralfate in combination with AbGuard, has kept him ulcer-free, even during our busy show season!

I have a now twelve-year-old gelding that I show in the a/0 hunter division throughout the year. Before I was spending a fortune trying to keep weight on him and keep him healthy. Whenever we shipped long distances to horse shows, he would really struggle for the next few days with feeling good. At the recommendation of a friend in the barn, we've started giving him AbGuard for a few days after we ship him to a horse show and continue for a few days afterwards and he is so much healthier and happier. AbGuard keeps him feeling and looking good!

These are my go-to for treating horses I suspect have ulcers. 95% of the time the symptoms seem to go away totally!

I moved my horse across the country over the winter and he went from group turnout 24/7 to an individual paddock. I started him on the Abprozole plus to treat ulcers he may have developed during the move, and I have kept him on a low dose as a preventative in his current living situation. I have been very pleased with the results, and I like that the granules are easy to feed.

Love using this as a maintenance dose and alternative to ulcergard.

I love the granules--easy to give and easy on the wallet. But the shipping times can be upward of 3 weeks, so be prepared to wait.

I recently rescued a senior sale pen/auction horse. He arrived weak, in rough shape and very underweight. After a few days of just hay, I offered a small amount of senior grain. He seemed obsessed with it, but he couldn’t eat it. He mouthed it, he nibbled it and walked away. He also spit much of his hay out, I assumed due to bad teeth. I would leave one pound of grain and he would barely manage to eat that in a night, while being a very bony, skinny sad guy. I happened to have a month of Abler’s magical granules in my house. Within 48 hours of starting the granules, he was nickering and pacing at the gate in the morning for his food. He dove right in. His energy picked up. He stopped spitting out hay balls and finished his hay like a champ. We slowly increased his serving sizes and finished out a full month of sachets, then weaned him slowly off. It’s been 7 weeks and he’s gained 70 lbs! He feels amazing and his belly doesn’t hurt! It’s now been 2 weeks since we finished and he never skipped a beat! He now looks and feels more like a young buck!! And, I didn’t go bankrupt, and I was able to afford rescuing this sweet old man that needed a soft place to land. I can’t thank you guys enough.

My horse had all the classic signs of an ulcer - I took him in to my vet for a full physical, and blood work. Everything came back normal so rather than having him scoped I purchase abprozale and fed it for 28 days - all his symptoms resolved and he was back to his normal self. It has been about a year and he still shows none of the signs he had prior to treatments.

I feed these as the granules to my super picky Tb, no issues. He was really irritable and sensitive beginning in February, after a few weeks on the treatment dose his behavior got significantly better and he’s put some weight on. Super affordable and effective.

I live on an island, which makes the price of everything horse related even MORE. So after in patient treatment for ulcers and many thousands of dollars I was told about Abler. The granules also make it much more user friendly when other people feed your horse some of the time. I keep it on hand now for stressful occasions or relapses.

My horse was bucking under saddle and when I cued him to go forward. I had tried a whole lot of “cheaper” alternatives before I realized I was going to need to buckle down and get the paste. Glad I remembered about the “pop rocks” I used to give my horse years ago. Ordered Abler paste, it came quick, and I’m about 8 days into treatment and my horses demeanor is greatly improved!! I've had many years of very satisfied experiences with AbProzole. A good friend of mine mentioned to me that her young miniature mare can be very moody. I visited with the mare and indeed she was very grumpy, I felt that she was protecting herself from something. My friend mentioned in passing that her mare didn't like to be groomed. This was a "classic" telltale sign of ulcers. I recommended that she order Abprozole and start her mini on it. She did and reported that by day 4 or 5, her mare was standing quite contentedly for grooming. My friend was thrilled. We added Absucralfate to the regimen and her mare became happier and much more active. Awesome!

I just started feeding the granules to my mare as a preventative measure, she can be a picky eater and had no issues with the packets being added to her food which was a huge relief. I bought the granules for my horses to add into his feed as well as Abler's omeprazole for a treatment of some ulcers. He didn't mind the granules at all so it was super easy to administer. The fact that they are water soluble is awesome in case a horse won't eat it off feed though.

Noticed a huge difference within 4 days of using the paste. It's every bit as effective as the stuff that costs $ 44.00 a tube. Our vet approved of treating with Abler products also. We were able to treat 2 horses for a fraction of the cost. Both had their ulcers completely healed and are now pain free and doing so well. I typically order the granules for the past several years. This past order I got the tablets and at first my horse would not eat them. After a week or two and a little honey on top he eats them fine. They are easier to know if he is getting the full dose and much cheaper!

Seems like it is working. Horse had pylorus ulcers diagnosed before. Treatment with Abler is much easier and affordable than with medication which clinic gave. Horse was much more girthy before Abler. With one month treatment he is bretty normal now.

I really like the AbPrazole Plus! Whenever I’m treating ulcers, I generally start the horse on just a standard probiotic anyways. I always feel like the probiotic helps during ulcer treatment to help get their stomach & hindgut back into a healthier place. I feel like that not only helps the horse and their ulcers, it helps the omeprazole work better. Well this product gets both of those done for me!! Incredibly handy & great idea. Abler is fantastic! I bought a TB gelding as a project in October without knowing much about him. He was girthy, spooky, anxious, and food possessive with my mare right off the bat, but I chalked it all up to settling into his new home and work routine at first since he was eating fine and in good weight. It wasn't until a rapid weight drop in April alongside colic symptoms that I put the other behaviors together and concluded he had ulcers. I did not have him scoped, so I got the Bulk Pack to treat for both hindgut and gastric ulcers. We're two weeks into the treatment and WOW! He is a different horse. He's friendlier with my mare and with me, no more yawning/windsucking/cribbing when getting tacked up, and he actually enjoys grooming now. He's more forward under saddle and doesn't swish his tail when I ask for him to extend. Just a much happier and more willing boy. He also plays in the pasture, which he never did before! He's still underweight, but we're in the process of bulking him up now that he's getting treated. He's a fairly picky eater, but had no problem eating the granules. At first I used corn oil in a little bit of grain to encourage him and sort of stick the granules to the grain, but now I'm just dry dressing the grain with some rice bran and the granules and he eats them up no problem. Abprazole paste was my go-to product when treating my endurance horse for gastric ulcers. At less than 1/3 the cost of similar products it was a no-brainer to go for Abprazole paste. My order arrived surprisingly quickly. I did the treatment for 30 days, then tapered off for another week or so. I had enough left over to then use as a preventative dose at times of high stress, like hauling and going to competitions. I'd say that I noticed an improvement in his attitude within a day. I got a horse in just last week who was known to previously have ulcers. Her previous owner was treating symptoms with aloe juice and u-gard pellets. She is still underweight..... When I picked her up she paid zero attention to me and was very reactive to touch and groundwork cues. She would flinch and over react to everything. when she arrived at my barn she was terribly herd sour, anxious, would not finish her meals without pacing, taking a break, being entirely possessed with the other horses. Last year I adopted a 5 year old OTTB and he was pretty grumpy in his stall, slinging feed angrily, didn't enjoy being groomed on his sides or stomach, kicked out when his gut was touched even lightly. Vet recommended treating for ulcers as cost of scope was pointless when we could use omeprazole and sucralfate. UG and GG were prohibitively expensive though. So we tried Abler on recommendation. After 30 day treatment, he was a different animal altogether. Satchels were handy for barn staff. We did have to add sweetened applesauce to get him to finish out the last week and a half of crystals, even in his feed, but for the most part, he ate them without issue the majority of the time.

Had my horse scoped, he's an off the track thoroughbred, 2 months ago and he had so many grade 2 ulcers the vet couldn't even give me a count...ordered 3 Abprazole bulk packs (took about 3 weeks to arrive) and started him on 3 scoops in the morning on empty stomach. He doesn't like the taste so I drizzle a little honey on the bottom of his bucket and pour the scoops in tip. He eats it all up! I feed him his breakfast about an hour later. After 2 weeks he was back to his normal, sweet self and not the mean biting kicking horse he became because of the ulcer pain. The 3 bulk packs lasted me about a month and a half. Had him scoped again yesterday (so total of about 2 months later) and my vet said he had "significant improvement". All his grade 2 ulcers are HEALED COMPLETELY and we are going to continue treatment to heal the remaining couple of tiny (looked like a tiny pin prick on the camera) ulcers left. I was so relieved it worked!!! In addition to the Abprazole I've also made some changes to help keep him from developing ulcers, like I give him alfalfa to coat his stomach before riding. My 6 year old barrel racing horse suddenly started repeatedly pulling back from the trailer as soon as he was unloaded and tied at events, breaking tie rings, snapping hardware, and causing mayhem. We thought it was behavioral, then I noticed he was not eating any hay from his hay bag at the events. I started him on 3 packets a day of Abler Omeprazole and within 4 days, his behavior was completely different at races. I ordered AbPrazole bulk pack for my laminitic horse. He has been on a minimum of 2g of Bute a day for the past 6 months just to make him comfortable + Ulcerguard. I needed a less expensive product to prevent ulcers so I gave this a try. It did take a couple weeks to receive it but it’s VERY easy to use, my horse eats it without a problem. In fact, I’m going to order more and I’m now going to try the Phenylbutazone also.

I suspected ulcers in my paint pony. Had most of the traditional symptoms. I decided to treat using this product along with the sulcrufate rather than having him scoped and still needing treatment. I kept him on this for 30 days, the sulcrufate 21 days. He was not ridden at all during this time. Needless to say it was a little hard to see if there was a difference in him because most of the behaviors he was displaying were under saddle. He slowly began working again. Within a few rides the changes were remarkable. He no longer Fusses while being groomed He is not girthy He no longer cranks his head to the left when being mounted. He is not bucking. (He has a fused hock. We thought most of the bucking was related to that. But we were WRONG!) He is staying quiet and calm while being ridden in the field-as opposed to be a nightmare that won’t do anything that’s asked. He is no longer nipping. He is no longer gassy when walking up hill in the morning for bringing in. And he no longer paws in the aisle! He is completely changed. I was a believer that only ulcerguard would have this affect. Great product, much better value than alternative omeprazole products I feed with a pinch of chaff but do find the tiny balls fall through and don’t get eaten so add a bit of karon oil (digestion aid, sticky liquid) to bind it together. We did a course then left horse for a few months then scoped him, vet said she could see where he’d had ulcers previously and they’d healed (from abler) but that they were back again. If you do treat your horse always put it on a preventative dose, it takes less than a week for ulcers to return I’m now treating all my horses with this easy to use medicine just as a caution

Great product, much better value than alternative sucralfate products, which can also be very fine and powdery making them difficult to administer. I feed with a pinch of chaff but do find the tiny balls don’t tend to get picked up by the horse so add a bit of karon oil to stick it together. Some sucralfate products seem to be fed an hour after the omeprazole but the guidance of this one is to feed on an empty stomach. Horses have funny colour tongue after eating it!!

I chose to do 28 days of treatment before weaning her off the Abprazole, and she did not show any symptoms of ulcers at that time. Her coat and weight also had improved significantly! My only downside was that my mare was not keen on taking the tablets in her grain, but with a handful of sweet feed as a treat pressed around them, it was no problem! I have recommended Abler to several friends seeking affordable treatment for their horses ulcers, and all of them had positive experiences as well.

If you are thinking about using AbButazone and aren't 100% sure, my advice is order it. I am now on my second order, my Veteran 28 years old and 17.2hds has one a day, occasionally 2. He always had an upset stomach with uk prescribed equipalazone. The bonus is this product is coated, his stomach is much more consistently settled. Also, I save at least £40 per order, not ordering from my equine vet.

I treat a chronic ulcer mare with this product. She will likely need this therapy for life, as her symptoms always return after tapering Gastrogaurd. With the Abler product, I can afford to keep her comfortable. I wouldn't be able to manage her long term on Gastrogaurd.

After my mare was scoped confirmed with ulcers I struggled to find affordable treatment option as the recommended product from my vet was almost 4 times the price of this. I have to say, for severe issues, I would still use abgard, but for afterwards treatment or less severe pain, this is my go-to thing!

Used this for both my dressage horses, high intensity training and shows made them subject to pain issues. After treatment of around 20 syringes, both horses are fine! I know the omeprazole from my treating vet, but in Germany, it usually costs around 30€, so I am very happy to have found an identically effective and much more cheaper alternative

My horse was girthy. He was biting when he was saddled up and kicking. He bucked when I rode him. His saddle fit fine. We had several trainers ride him. As soon as we gave him AbPrazole™ Bulk Pack his girthiness stopped after a few days of treatment. He didn't buck the last time I rode him. He is a much happier camper. Years ago, my horse started having some subtle symptoms of ulcers. He went from being an easygoing guy to grinding his teeth, swishing his tail when I brushed him and tacked him up and losing weight. He started to look ribby and his coat was dull. I started with a loading dose of Abgard and then I've kept him on a maintenance dose ever since and he is back to his normal self. No more symptoms of ulcers, he's in good weight and most importantly he's happy and healthy.

Hands-down the most affordable form of omeprazole for my horse. Highly effective, I love that the pills are consistent in the amount he gets and that they don't require cutting open all the little packets. My horse isn't a huge fan of the taste, however. We crush them up and then he is fine, but if you just toss in the pill, he doesn't eat it. We also break it in half so he gets the full tablet over the course of the day rather than all at once. His tummy seems much better again! Definitely my favorite of the AbPrazole products due to the smaller and less wasteful packaging, the convenience of not needing to measure something out, and being at the most reasonable price-point. Drawbacks are shipping time and (for my horse, at least) taste.

Used this to replace ulcerguard due to the cost, but I am equally in love with the fact that this is a palatable alternative to the mess and nuisance that is trying to get my horse to eat paste. It is equally as effective, but infinitely superior in its usability. The only down side is the time it takes to ship. When my horse needs it, he needs it, and it isn't something that I can get quickly. Keeping it on hand for a single horse is also pricey and inconvenient as it does have a shelf life. But, I get that faster shipping or a closer warehouse/production facility would likely substantially increase the price, so that is the tradeoff you have. It it is something long term or you have a large number of horses and a high likelihood of somebody developing ulcers, or you can plan ahead and want them on it for show season or show weekends, this is definitely the best way to go.

My normally cinchy and opinionated little demon felt sooo much better after being on this for a while. It was nice to know that he was getting a consistent dose every day with the premeasured packets, and the price is a bit easier to swallow than other similar products on the market.

I really like probiotic since it’s easy to travel with and easy to feed on the road while we’re at horse shows. I like to combine AbActive and AbGard in my horse’s feed in the morning right before, during and right after we go to an out of town horse show. I’ve been doing this for several years now and have a happy and healthy show horse so I would definitely recommend it!

The AbGard paste is super easy to use! My horse has no issue with me squirting the paste into his mouth every evening. It must taste good since he has no objections to it. Of course I appreciate that the product works and soothes my horses stomach and prevents ulcer too! It’s an added bonus that he doesn’t object to the taste and it’s easy to administer everyday!

I purchased and used the bulk pack on my ex-racer called Stevie. i notcied when I got him in May 2020 he wouldn't let me touch around his belly area and I suspected something was wrong. I first got him checked my the physio to make sure he was sound and it was actually her that suggested getting this product. So I decided to give it a go and I have to say I definally seen a difference within two weeks. He is quite a grumpy boy when he wants to be but he became more cuddly (he still has his off days). I bought my ottb gelding from Texas and had him shipped to Arizona where I live. In Texas he was awesome to ride and had such a sweet personality. When my gelding showed up in Arizona he was extremely dehydrated and had lost 100 or more pounds. The shipper who had come highly recommended was awful and turned a one and half day trip into a three day trip in 116 degree weather. My poor boy hadn't eaten and did not drink very much the whole trip. The vet had to tube him upon arrival and I received 2 tubes of Gastroguard at $39 per tube to give that day and the next day to settle his stomach. After a few days my sweet horse was spooky, over reactive to everything, not gaining weight and had a dull coat, and sensitive to even being brushed. I suspected ulcers and purchased the combo pack with the Abrazole Plus and AbSucralfate for 30 days. If I went through the vet to purchase omeprazole I would have spent almost $1200! Within a week or so he was eating more, he started to enjoy being brushed, he was calmer and not so reactive, and started to look better overall. Within a few weeks he was back to being the horse I rode in Texas and looked incredible. We finished the 30 days and I can't thank Abler enough for providing a product that works and that is affordable. My daughter's pony has been on Abprazole rocks since shortly after we bought her three years ago. We have seen a complete turn around in her personality and rideability. Nothing can replace omeprazole paste but this is the next best thing and very easy to use. Even my post picky eaters will just take the tablets in a small hand full of grain. Was skeptical but it has been extremely effective and see results as quickly as 3 days. I do use a full course of 28 days with this product for initial treatment and that as a preventative measures once horse is asymptomatic. Would highly recommend and it very affordable.

Have used Gastrogaurd before for treatment on various horse but have used the magic blue abler balls ever since and would use them over again, they are my go to after any lillness that’s required antibiotics or bite for all 5 of my horses or any episode of stress.

I originally used the blue granules from Abler to treat my mares ulcers because she is very hard to give anything orally, until I decided to try AbGard since it is a little stronger than the granules. Her ulcers tend to be seasonal and continue to come back every 6 months. Other products on the market that treat ulcers are SO expensive and make it impossible for my wallet. She actually allows me to put the tube in her mouth since it doesn't have a bad taste!! In my opinion, AbGard treats the ulcers quicker and more effectively than any other product! My OTTB mare is prone to ulcers and is a bad cribber. This company and product makes it possible to care for an ulcer prone/hard keeper horse! Omeprazole is used to treat the ulcers and is usually 3times as expensive everywhere else. I saw results within 1 week!! My mare started to crib less and she actually has a nice belly for once-no more ribs are showing!! Before this product was given, she was also very girthy and did not want to go forward under saddle. After one week on this product, she is happy during tacking up and able to move comfortably again! Like all there abler products, my horse is completely different when he is on them. He has treatment level for a couple of days before a competition and when staying away and is then on the maintenance dosage. The tablets are super economical and I feed them with an empty paste tube. The tablets are easy to store and I prefer them to the granules because he leaves the granules in his feed and I know that the tablets have got into him. These products have revolutionised my horse and I couldn't recommend them enough

We imported a young gelding from Belgium to the UK and unfortunately the journey stressed him and we suspected ulcers. A friend of ours had some Abler product and he responded so well to it and is a happy young man again. We keep Sucralfate in times of when we think he might get stressed out, travelling or when a companion he's attached to leaves so we know he's protected if he does get stressed out. This was super easy to feed and it had an immediate effect on soothing.

Wow. What a turn around for the 2 horses and pony I have used this on. I was so skeptical this would do anything but after going ahead and trying it - I’m a huge believer. Shiny coats, weight gain and overall happier demeanor are some of the many changes I’ve seen in the past 2 months!

my gelding was always cranky...always! gave him abprazole and had amazing results after a very short period of time.

I have used the Abprazole Plus, the syringes and thought I would try the tablets as they are the cheapest. My horse is fussy about the little blue granules in the AbPrazole Plus. I tried all the suggested ways of feeding, in a carrot, apple and with molasses but didn't work. The syringes are fab as you know that he has got it in him, but they are expensive. The tablets are great so far, the balling gun makes too much noise for my horse and is tricky to use, I just use an empty syringe tube and put it right up the back of his throat. I read that the tablets shouldn't be chewed. It took a couple of days practise to get the tablets up high enough, but think I have mastered the art now. I like these as I know that they have gone in him so will be using them going forwards... Such a great product and has made my stressed, unhappy horse into a calm, happy, lovable one.

After watching my horse go from compliant to downright dangerous, it dawned on me it was an ulcer. After 30 days of treatment with this product, he was 60% better, after 45 days 75% and just over 60-days in, he's at 95%. I had been trying to sell him and was afraid to ride him, as the bucking was terrible. He is so much calmer and happier and willing to do whatever is asked. Thank you for saving him from being sold, which may not have ended well for him.

My horse has gotten ulcer flare ups a few times since I bought him. Once I used vet prescribed omeprazole in a paste and twice I’ve used Aprazole in blue pellet form. Abprazole works just as good as the vet prescribed Omeprazole and is so much more affordable. My only issue with abprazole pellets is that they’re so small, they get left at the bottom of the feed bin. They are bitter so my horse didn’t try to clean them up and it ended up being a bit of a challenge to find ways that he would eat them. He’s a picky eater anyway so next time around I will try paste or pellets. Despite my difficulty feeding the pellets, I still recommend the product solely from an effectiveness and financial standpoint.

This is great to cover all the areas of the stomach, especially the "exit" since omeprazole by itself is not proven to heal ulcers there. sulcrafate is proven to work there. Use it in combination to have the same great results.

I treated my horse with these and the stomach looked so much better after these. I combined it with absulcrafate, which worked a treat. I recommend to lower the dose once done very slowly though.

This is the cheapest option. I like to hide them in apples. I just push the pill into an apple and feed it by hand. works well!

My horse came from Europe to the US in March. Flying and travel most likely stressed his gut. He has been a cribber in the past, as evidence by his teeth. When he arrived, I observed him cribbing when stressed. When having the girth done up, he is snapping and biting. Ulcers were suspected based solely on his behavior. He has not been endoscoped. This is great Medication, a little hard to feed since It should be fed on an empty stummach, which shouldn’t occur too often in horses with stomach issues, but this just does the job!

My ex racehorse was suffering from gastric ulcers and upset stomach. We couldn't afford to go down the scoping route and the vet actually suggested we give this ago as it's more affordable than gastro guard!! This was the last chance for my extremly difficult mare.... And she's still with me. She wouldn't eat the stuff so I had to clump it together with honey and force down her on her tongue. But after a about a week me and her loan mummy noticed a huge difference. Fast forward to now, her rider can canter safely in open spaces with no explosions or rearing... After a lot of testing- nuclear body scan, numerous X-rays and multiple neurological exams- all clear & EPM negative, it was determined that our mare had ulcers. Within 14 days of starting this medication she was a different horse. Much cheaper than the other brand with a monopoly on ulcer treatment and very effective on our horse. Would highly recommend.

We have a mare that was presenting as neurological with pain symptoms. Full work up at vet- negative for EPM, full body xrays - all clear. Full nuclear body scan- all clear. Ended up being ulcers. This treatment gave us a different horse within 14 days. We continued the treatment for 30 days. It’s now been 2 years and she is starting to show same signs so we will treat again and look into a preventative program as well.

Abprazole has greatly improved my horse’s health. No more teeth grinding, no more on and off unexplained hind end lameness. I started him on 4 packets a day (he’s 1900 lbs) and after 3 weeks cut it back to 2 packets a day. Product is easy to feed—my horse is picky so I mix it in bran mash and he loves it. This product is great. I have been using these tablets on my now, 32 yo Arab mare, for several years. She used to suffer from gastric ulcers terribly. Since doing the once a day preventative dosage with the AbPrazole™ Tablets, her ulcers have not flared up. I highly recommend this product.

I have a lot of experience over the years with ulcers, with my horses and my client's horses. I know when they work, how long they work... and when they don't work. There is no substitute for using ompeprozole to heal ulcers in the horse's stomach. However, it can be very expensive to treat uclers using other brands of ompeprozole. Abler is a lifesaver (and horse saver!). The product is incredibly affordable and it WORKS!. When I give the product, one packet a day unless it's an extreme case, I can usually see a change by the end of day 2 and certainly by day 3. The horse perks up, isn't pinning their ears, and not as sensitive when they are touched or palpated. After about a week on your product, real relief begins to happen. Abprozole works so well and so quickly, I've advised others to use it as a diagnostic for gastric uclers. I tell my friends and clients that if your horse doesn't start to perk up by day 3 and certainly by day 5, then it's very likely that gastric ulcers are not what's bothering them. LOVE this product!!! I've told many people to buy this product (and most have) and I've posted on it a few times through social media. Trying to spread the word on this product.

Several years ago my vet recommended I give my horse a course of omeprazole since we travel frequently to horse shows and he was exhibiting some of the signs of early stomach ulcers including a bit of weight loss, some sensitivity when I tightened the girth and just not completely himself. My horse improved so much that my vet actually recommended I continue giving him on a maintenance dose whenever we travel to horse shows as a preventative measure. My gelding doesn't seem to mind the taste and its easy to squirt a little into his mouth each day. It's just part of his routine now!

AbGuard has helped my warmblood gelding immensely. For many years he struggled with stomach ulcers which would then cause gas colic, even undergoing colic surgery for an impaction in his colon one time. We really struggled to keep him comfortable whenever the weather changed or when we shipped him from our farm to a local show twenty minutes away. I ordered Abgard for a very sensitiv, nervous and skinny mare. After a treatment of 28 days (one syringe each day) she gained weight, builded up muskles and became more relaxing. She seems to be happier now.

I ordered this after doing alot of research on why my gelding was always pissy.He would buck, be spooky.. I was not paying $35 a tube to treat ulcers. So i got this. I am so impressed. My gelding isnt cinchy anymore, he dont try to bite. It helped him very quick!

I cannot rave about this enough. I have an off track thoroughbred who was extremely girthy, would balk at any touch of spurs or a crop, extremely aggressive every time we saddled him up. I got another rescue horse that is thin and lethargic about eating...she picks at her food and eats sometimes, but she never finished it. Her facial expression is one of inward worry. She stands like a previous horse I had that was diagnosed with ulcers too. She has classic symptoms when I touch her underbelly. I’ve had her on AbGard now for 10 days and she’s beginning to eat better. I’m also ordering AbSucralfate for probable hind gut ulcers to cover all the variables. I’ve searched online for other products of same ir similar makeup only to have “sticker shock”. But Abler prices are reasonable and products are excellent. I chatted at length with an Abler rep to get Abguard AbProzole for a starving rescued horse that would not eat, with clear signs of ulcers. After two weeks on on tube on Abguard per day, she was showing more interest in her feed and eating more hay, after 3 weeks she was nickering when feed time arrived and greedily ate all her grain! used 1 syringe for 28 days and now on the maintenance dose of a quarter tube per day. The horse is looking wonderful, so shiny, keen to eat his hard feed & hay, more settled in the stable and performing brilliantly. He is so much more relaxed and chilled to be around on the ground, happier in his work and doesn't get tight through his back area like before so saving money on visits from Physio, Will never take him off this product- couldn't recommend it more. I had previously tried him on the blue granules but could not get him to eat them in a carrot, apple or anything else. So the syringes works best for us

Überlege gerade das Set für 30Tage zu bestellen. The remedy also helps our 2 the horse. Unfortunately we didn't know about the small intestine ulcers so we have to add the Succrabest now. Just consider ordering the set for 30 days. It's great that there is an alternative to monopoly drugs.

Can’t rate this enough. Due to the granuals being so small and no taste to them, my gelding eats them up no problem. Also very affordable compared to other ulcer treatments and the results are already showing! Can’t wait to see the end result! Thank you Alber for helping my boy out.

Can’t recommend this product enough for being easy to use and so affordable. As my horse isn’t insured anymore for ulcers I wasn’t able to go down the route of scoping and then treatment through the vets so this was a much better alternative. I use the Abbutazone packets for both my geldings when bute is needed for an injury or discomfort. I love how easy these are to use. I sprinkle in their pellets and supplements and they eat them right up. They even kind of stick to the pellets I feed so low on waste. Appreciate how easy these are to use.

Started using the Abprazole as a maintenance program on my 16- year old paint gelding that has suffered in the past with stomach issues. Adding Abprazole to his current stomach supplement appears to make him more comfortable! Seems to take the edge off of him in training. Its working and I will continue its use!

My 20 year old warmblood, former showjumper, has always been a live wire and always hated the winter months but last year his grumpiness started in the summer and by the winter he became unmanageable. Girthy, snipey and stamping his offside hind leg a lot. He kicked me once. He didn't want to trot at all and would pin his ears back. He was explosive and so anxious it got so bad I just couldn't even get on him. I knew it was his gut so put him on a full treatment course of APlus and Sulcrafate. After 6 weeks he is back to his normal self. Still full of it but easy to tack up, happy to go for a ride and very forward. He is moving more easily although I know his arthritis is uncomfortable for him. I can now work on easing that now I have sorted his gut pain thanks to Abler. I will be keeping him on maintenance of Sulcrafate now as I don't ever want him to go back to the monster he became.

My whole barn uses Abrazole for full treatment of ulcers or profilactically before shows. It will quell an ulcer quickly and your horse will feel better and return to normal very fast. I carve a hole into an apple, pour in the dosage, replace the piece carved out and feed the whole apple and my horse gets every drop. I know not every horse can eat a whole apple, but it can be served in a half of a banana as well. Anyway, I am grateful for the product which is extremely effective and gets your horse feeling better fast!

My daughters mare went from a easy going loving horse to a cranky, cinchy, bucking horse my daughter was scared to ride. A friend recommended this and abprozole after we discovered the problem was ulcers. After a 28 day treatment regimen our mare is back to her sweet self.
