Product Description
AbPrazole Plus (omeprazole and lactobacillus sporogenes) is one of Abler’s most popular products for the treatment and prevention of equine gastric ulcer syndrome (EGUS), which is a common issue amongst stabled horses, performance horses, horses stressed by a changed environment or horses being treated with anti-inflammatories.
Omeprazole is from the family of proton pump inhibitors (PPI’s) that blocks secretion of acid. Omeprazole assists by reducing and neutralizing acid in the horse’s stomach, which enables improved healing of existing ulcer damage.
The presence of a probiotic (lactobacillus sporogenes) helps restore natural intestinal flora, leading to a more rapid recovery and increased nutrient absorption.
Each dose of AbPrazole Plus is effective for 24 hours.

Almost too good to be true!My 18yo Arabian gelding had been thin and "not quite right" since I got him. After I moved house and was now keeping him at a boarding facility, it was suggested he may have a chronic ulcer condition. He didn't have the typical ulcer symptoms, but I wanted to give treatment a try.
I found the Abprazole Plus "Blue Pop Rocks" through a post on a Chronicle of the Horse discussion about ulcers. I was looking for an affordable alternative to the branded paste products.Adding the granules to Kyd's feed was much easier for my boarding barn to deal with than having to dose with paste every day.
We saw a postive change in Kyd's attitude and posture within the first four days of using the Abprazole Plus. It has been three months now and he is on a maintenance dose. He has gained weight, his coat is thicker and he is now happy and ready to work again.

prevention during showsThis works great for my horse. I start him on the preventative dose 4 days before the show & continue through the show. He eats all of it. The difficult behavior I was getting at shows has disappeared now.
