As someone who is in the human medical field, I definitely experienced sticker shock with the prices of omeprazole for my horse. I heard many great reviews on Abler and considering its basically the same formulation of the brand name in the US but for 1/4th the price, I placed my order within a couple of days of noticing my horse had an acute change in behavior, was dropping weight, and not finishing her hay. Vet came out about 1.5 weeks later and based on my history and his physical agreed it was likely ulcers- I did not opt to scope at this time. She is now almost finished with a whole month treatment and is no longer reactive when I brush her sides and seems to be a lot calmer, along with finishing her hay. While I don't have scope evidence of this working, I can say my own physical exam demonstrates a major change and this is the only product I added during this period of time.
